Not all protective welding clothing is the same: The occupational safety of employees is achieved primarily through high-quality fabric, the choice of the right protection class and professional cleaning and care of the clothing. At CWS Workwear, you can obtain welding clothing made from proven flame-resistant cotton as well as from lightweight, tear- and cut-resistant high-tech fabrics that insulate against incident heat and arcs. In both cases, you achieve optimum protection for the welders and welding operators in your plant.

The CWS Workwear range includes four collections of protection classes 1 and 2. Choose from over 30 standard-compliant garments. Those meet the specific requirements of your workplaces and your individual budget. We will be happy to advise you personally. Safety welding class 1 (EN ISO 11611)

This standard provides protection for low-risk welding tasks, such as those with minimal weld spatter and reduced radiant heat. It is designed for lighter welding applications where comfort and safety are essential. Class 1 offers adequate protection in environments with lower exposure to hazards, ensuring the welder’s safety without the need for heavy-duty protective gear. Ideal for situations where the risks are controlled and manageable. Norm pictograms visible on the outside of the garment.

Class 1 standard

Thanks to the natural cotton fibers, this collection feels soft, breathable, and comfortable to wear. The fit is straight and casual, while the satin weave gives the fabric a distinctive silky, glossy appearance. The Proban-treated cotton with a special flame retardant finish is highly durable, offering welders reliable protection against radiant heat, weld spatter, and molten metal and has a great tear and cut resistance thanks to added Kevlar®. This collection is ideal for inspection work or light welding, providing excellent value for money.

Class 1 Advanced

Thanks to the natural cotton fiber, the Welding 1 Advanced is soft to the touch, breathable, and comfortable to wear thanks to its straight, relaxed fit. The satin weave gives the fabric a smooth, silky sheen. The flame-retardant, proban-treated cotton is particularly durable and provides reliable protection against radiant heat, welding sparks, and molten metal splashes. Ideal for monitoring or light welding tasks – offering an excellent price-performance ratio. Perfectly combinable with our workwear collection for a consistently uniform professional appearance.

The jacket, trouser and dungaree with the reflective striping also comply with EN 17353 B2

Class 1 Premium

With the "Class 1 premium" collection, you choose highly durable and comfortable welding apparel made from premium fibers that provide the same level of protection as heavy, flame-resistant cotton of 420 g/m². This collection offers enhanced protection against electric arcs, making it ideal for inspection work or light welding and grinding tasks. Featuring high-performance fibers such as Kevlar® and Nomex®, this protective clothing ensures exceptional resilience while delivering top-tier safety. Norm symbols are visible on the garment.

Safety welding class 2

Welding Class 2 offers a higher level of protection for more hazardous welding tasks, where there is a greater production of weld spatter and increased radiant heat. Unlike Class 1, which is designed for lighter, low-risk welding, Class 2 is built to withstand tougher conditions. The use of breathable, high-performance fibers ensures comfort while providing enhanced protection against these more demanding welding environments. Ideal for tasks involving higher levels of risk, Class 2 ensures welders remain safe and comfortable during more intense welding operations. Norm pictograms visible on the outside of the garments.

This collection features Tecapro® fabric, offering breathable, heat-resistant protection for extreme conditions. Class 2 Premium

The Class 2 Premium collection offers durable, flame-resistant protection with anti-static properties and reflective stripes for visibility. Made from flame-retardant cotton, polyamide, and Nomex® lining, it resists flames, oil, and dirt. Aramid fibers enhance strength, heat resistance, and impact protection, expanding upon flame exposure for added safety. Certified for Welding Protection Class 2, it’s ideal for high-risk and intensive welding or grinding work. Norm pictograms visible on the outside.
