The PRObasics models are made of either 70% Fairtrade cotton and 30% polyester or 50% Fairtrade cotton and 50% polyester, depending on the model. The new PRObasics pieces with Fairtrade cotton are a significant step in this direction. The new PROBasics bear the Fairtrade seal, which guarantees the fair origin of the material. CWS Workwear has been using Fairtrade cotton in its workwear since as early as 2016. The cotton farmers receive a fair price for their cotton and also a Fairtrade premium, which is added to the selling price of the cotton. The producers can use this premium for social, environmental or economic community projects.
